Dr. Xu Chong

Chong Xu, Male, born in 1982. Research professor in Institute of Geology, China Earthquake Administration. He got a Ph. D. at Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. His research interests are landslide earthquake geology, earthquake triggered landslides, active fault, geomorphology, GIS, and remote sensing. Current research activities focus on: 1) inventories of landslides triggered earthquakes; 2) landslide spatial distribution controlled by active fault; 3) evolution of earthquake-triggered landslides. He has published more than 150 academic papers. He has worked or is working on several research projects as PIs, such as three projects (Youth, General, and International Joint Research) funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and two sub-projects of National Key R&D Program of China funded by Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
